Your products, already scannable

Kata's product scanner reads the barcode on a pack, looks the product up in Open Food Facts, the free and open food database, and gives each person a personal read against their own profile and goals. It is part of every plan. Complete, accurate data for your products in Open Food Facts is what makes them read well, for everyone.

Built with partners, on request

A QR code on a pack that opens Kata, or product details from you surfaced inside the app, are not part of Kata today. If that is what you have in mind, we build it with you, on request, where it genuinely helps the person and never as an ad.

Inside the promise

Brand collaborations follow the same rule as everything else: they never move a person's data. A scan sends only the bare barcode to Open Food Facts, and what someone eats stays on their device. See Your data.
