Getting started.

From zero to a working daily routine in one conversation. This page covers your account, the first chat, and what a good first week looks like.

Mobile app or web app

Kata runs as a fast web app today, and native apps for iOS and Android are on the way. Most people start on their phone, so pick whichever suits you: it is the same Kata either way, and you can move between them any time.

Available now

Web app

Kata runs as a fast web app in any browser, and installs to your home screen in a tap. This is the way to start today.

Open the web app

On your phone, add it to your home screen: see Install the app.

Mobile app

Native iOS and Android apps are on the way. Store listings open once Apple and Google enrolment is complete, and the web app carries everything until then.

1. Create your account

Go to app.yourkata.com, sign up and verify your email. You can sign in with email and password, Google, Apple or a magic link. The account carries little more than your email: everything personal stays on your device.

Invited by a friend?

Sign up with the same email address the invite went to. Your free month of Kata AI is attached to that address and unlocks on your first sign-in.

2. Your first chat

There is no setup wizard to survive: the coach sets you up by asking. Expect a short, friendly conversation about who you are (name, height, birthday), what you are working toward (your phase: Cut, Build or your own goal), and how your days usually look. Answer in plain words: everything can be changed later in Settings.

3. Your first week

  • Mornings: open Kata, read your daily line, weigh in if you like ("weighed 82.4").
  • Through the day: mention meals, water and training as they happen. One sentence is enough.
  • Evenings: close the day with the review: one tap says how it went, and your 14 day strip starts to fill.

By day seven the coach knows your shorthand, your day score means something, and the first trends appear. That is the whole trick: small, honest days, repeated.
