Docs
Consent.
What you agree to, and when. Kata's consent is versioned and recorded per surface, so it is always clear which documents you accepted and in which version.
What you agree to
Using Kata means agreeing to two documents: the Terms and the Privacy Policy. They are short and plain, and the Privacy Policy describes the same local-first reality these docs do.
Versioned, and append-only
Each document carries a version date. Your agreement is recorded as an entry with the document, its version, your locale and the surface you agreed on. Records are only ever added, never rewritten, so the history stays honest.
Per surface
Kata runs on the web, on iOS and on Android. Consent is captured on whichever surface you are using, so the record reflects where you actually agreed.
When a document changes
If the Terms or Privacy Policy are updated to a new version, Kata asks you to agree again. Until you do, the app treats your consent as pending for that document. Nothing sneaks a change past you.
The living documents are the Terms and Privacy Policy on the website. See also Legal.
