Invite a friend.

Kata grows by word of mouth, not by ads. The deal: your friend starts with a free month of Kata Plus, and you earn 3 months of Plus for every friend who joins and gets going.

Not open yet

Kata is not open on any platform, the browser included, so there is nobody to invite today. This is how invites will work the moment accounts open, and the deal holds from that day.

How it works

  1. In the app, open Settings, then Invite friends (or Invite friends on your Profile). Share your link, show the QR code, or invite by email: every way of sharing counts.
  2. Your friend signs up free, with the invited email address if you invited them by email.
  3. The reward lands once your friend joins, confirms their email and gets going, not the moment they sign up: 1 month of Kata Plus for them right away, and 3 months for you once they are two weeks in and still around. Both of you see it in the app.

What an earned month is

An earned month is a month of Kata Plus: the daily coach, Kata voices and Talk, photo logging and the written weekly reading. Earned months are banked and start the moment nothing paid and no trial covers you, so a Plus that lapses simply continues on your earned months before you ever pay.

The honest fine print

  • An email invite attaches to the invited address. A friend who signs up with a different address will not be matched automatically: tell us via the contact form and we fix it by hand.
  • One reward per real person. Inviting yourself is both against the rules and a strange way to live.
  • Months stack: five joined friends is fifteen earned months for you, up to 12 earned months in any rolling year on each side.
  • If the program ever changes, months already earned stay earned.
Why invites

A health companion this personal spreads best from person to person. We would rather give months to your friends than money to an ad network.
