In every plan#

Everything that is your own data and body never goes behind a paywall, by construction: everything you log and every trend it draws, the scanner, your own reminders, backup, export and the secure share, Apple Health and WHOOP, the watch and the widgets, the weekly picture of your week, and replies read aloud in your device voice. No gate in the app can touch them. During the launch phase the Sensei letters are included for everyone too.

Kata Free · everything you track#

The core, free forever, with the coach at starter volume: 300 coach messages a month, around ten real exchanges a day. Kata Free has no Kata voice, no photo analysis in the chat and no written weekly reading; the picture of your week is still yours. See Fair use and limits.

Kata Plus · the daily coach#

The coach at daily volume, 500 messages a month, around 16 real exchanges a day, which is more than almost anyone uses. Plus adds Kata voices and Talk in Mégane's voice (60 voice interactions a month), photo logging in the chat (meals, physique, documents), the reminders the coach sets for you, and the written reading of your week, every week.

Kata Unlimited · the deep practice#

Coach volume without a ceiling, on fair use. Unlimited adds the deep weekly reading, long form and across every area, the most Kata voice and Talk (400 interactions a month), and the earliest features, first.

Prices#

Kata Plus is CHF 19 a month or CHF 149 a year. Kata Unlimited is CHF 39 a month or CHF 299 a year. Yearly is always the wise choice: it works out far cheaper per month. Prices show in your currency in the app and on the pricing page (CHF, EUR, USD or SEK), and VAT is included where it applies.

The founders' year#

Joining early gets you the founders' offer: your first year of Kata Plus at 99 instead of 149, and the price stays locked for life for as long as you stay subscribed. It is open for the first 90 days after public launch, and your plan then carries a Founding member mark in the app.

Where you buy#

Buy on the web and the payment runs through Stripe. Buy inside the iPhone app and Apple is the seller; inside the Android app, Google Play. One account carries one plan, and the coach unlocks the same whichever way you bought. A subscription bought in a store is managed in that store, and Restore purchases in the app brings it back on a new device. Should two subscriptions ever run on one account, the one that reaches further ahead counts and the other is named plainly in your plan area, so nobody quietly pays twice.

Renewing and cancelling#

Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel, and you cancel wherever you bought: on the web in your billing settings, on iPhone in your Apple Account subscriptions, on Android in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you already paid for. If you let a plan lapse, Kata may make you one quiet return offer, once, and never repeats it.

Covered by your company#

Some people get Kata as a benefit. If your employer or insurer covers it, your plan shows as covered in the app while your membership runs: nothing to buy, nothing to renew. A subscription you already pay yourself keeps running until you cancel it; nothing is cancelled for you. How the privacy holds is on Insurers and companies.

Your first month, and choosing a plan#

Every new account starts with 30 days of Kata Plus, no card needed: when it ends, everything you track stays free, the coach continues at starter volume, and you move to a paid plan only if you want more. In the app, Plans opens from your Profile or from Settings, Plans: it names the plan you hold and what no plan takes away, and Compare all three lays the full plans side by side with their prices. Earned invite months are months of Plus, banked and used the moment nothing paid covers you.
