Lock-in cards and Lock in all.
Kata never changes your data on its own. When the coach has something worth saving, it hands you a card. You decide what becomes real.
What a card is
A lock-in card is a proposal: a clear label, a one line reason, and a Lock in button. Until you tap it, nothing is written. Cards cover every kind of entry Kata keeps: food, weight, water, workouts, activities, supplements, equipment, goals, a personal tracker, a memory, a profile change, a mood, a concern, a reminder, a phase switch or a physique shot. A card for a past day says which day it is for.
One tap to save, one tap to undo
Tap Lock in and the entry lands where it belongs, with a small confirmation. Change your mind and the same card offers Unsave: it removes exactly what it added and nothing else, restoring the previous value if there was one. There is no way to lose data by accident here.
Lock in all
When a single message produces several cards (a full meal, a workout and a weigh-in at once), a Lock in all control saves the whole batch in one tap. Each entry still records its own undo, so "all at once" never means "all or nothing".
Manual and auto mode
By default Kata is in manual mode: you confirm every card. Prefer less tapping? Switch to auto mode in Settings, General, or in the Kata log, and the coach saves the obvious things directly, marked Saved automatically on the card. Even in auto mode nothing is hidden: every save still appears in the Kata log.
The Kata log
Every lock-in, manual or automatic, is written to the Kata log with its category, summary and the moment it happened. It is your audit trail: open it from the chat header any time to review, correct or reverse a decision. See The coach chat.
