Connections.

Connections bring your world into the conversation. They connect straight from the app, and what they deliver stays with you.

What Kata connects to

Connected, not collected

Every connection is made from your device, the access stays on your device, and the data flows from the source to you. Kata never keeps a copy along the way, and you can disconnect any time in the app.

One rule for imported data

Imported entries are tagged as coming from a connection and deduplicated per day. Your own entries are never overwritten: if you logged something by hand, the importer leaves it alone. Edit an imported value and it becomes yours, and the importer stops touching it. This is the user-data-wins rule, and it holds everywhere.

Where your connections show up

Connected data does not sit in a feed of its own: it surfaces where it belongs. Steps, workouts and strain land in Activity; recovery, HRV, resting heart rate and blood oxygen read as your vitals; weight and body composition feed Physique and your measurement trends; and the energy you burn meets the food you eat in Nutrition. Wherever it lands, it is tagged as imported and follows the user-data-wins rule.

The prompt disappears once you connect

Before you connect a source, a screen may show a prompt to link the one that would fill it in. The moment that source is connected, the prompt retires: no more nudges for something already done. Disconnect and the offer comes back, so what you see is always true.

Tell us which one via the contact page: real requests genuinely shape the order we build in. Device makers can find us on Build with Kata.
