WHOOP.

WHOOP is Kata's deepest connection. Link it once and every morning arrives already understood: recovery, sleep and strain, folded straight into your day.

What syncs

Once connected, each morning brings your sleep duration and stages, recovery percentage, HRV, resting heart rate and blood oxygen, plus your sleep debt and need, and strain from your activities. The coach uses recovery to shape what it asks of you and weighs strain against it when planning your week.

How the connection works

You authorize WHOOP from inside Kata. The resulting access token is held in an on-device, httpOnly cookie, and Kata uses it to fetch your data straight to your device. No copy of your WHOOP data is stored on Kata's servers along the way. Disconnect any time in the app and the access ends.

It respects your logs

Like every connection, WHOOP data follows the user-data-wins rule: it is tagged as imported, and anything you logged yourself is never overwritten. See Connections.

No wearable? No problem

Everything WHOOP automates can be logged in a sentence. Manual sleep and training count fully toward your score, trends and coaching. See Sleep.
