Seasons and Sensei letters.

Phases end. In Kata, a phase that ends becomes a kept chapter, and rare letters mark the moments that are truly earned.

Seasons

When a phase ends, a cut, a build, a hold, a peak, Kata closes it into a season: a chapter with its honest numbers frozen at close time. The trend delta and weekly rate (under the same honesty guards as everywhere else), protein adherence, session volume, your strongest week, the range you held. Only real chapters are kept: a same-day phase switch or an untouched span leaves no trace.

Your seasons collect on a shelf in Profile. They live in your local store, so backup, snapshots and export carry them automatically.

Sensei letters

Rarely, when something is truly earned, a letter arrives: a strong season close, a long-held weight goal reached, thirty or a hundred clean days on a quit-style tracker, a sixty day streak of practice, or about three months of steady showing up. It is written for you, in your language, in the sensei's voice.

Rarity is the point

  • Never two letters within 45 days, at most five a year, none before 30 active days.
  • Coinciding milestones are absorbed into one letter, not stacked.
  • A letter is never faked: if it cannot be written well, it waits.
Private by default

Letters are stored on your device like everything else and ride your backups. Our servers only ever learn that a letter happened, never what it says.
